The early twenty-teens were something of a golden era for the craft/boutique niche of the premium cigar world. This includes the debut of the Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) in 2013. Black Label was dead set on bringing out the bold characteristics of Nicaraguan tobacco, often used in conjunction with hearty maduro wrappers. In celebration of Black Label's 10th anniversary, the company debuted the BLTC La Madonna Negra cigar in 2023. Yes, it's bold (as it should be), but the La Madonna Negra also showcases a refined and elegant backbone, bringing equal parts flavor, intensity, and finesse in one harmonious experience! The BLTC La Madonna Negra cigar begins with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper from the US; this leaf surrounds an Ecuadorian Habano binder and filler of Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. The end result is medium-full in body, with standout flavors of aromatic florals, rich cabinet spices, punchy earth, and long-lasting molasses through the finish.
