Description
The 91-rated New Wave is a gorgeous, mellow to medium-bodied morsel from cigar-maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo....originally of La Gloria Cubana fame. To create New Wave, a silky-smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper that's seamless in appearance was hand-selected, then carefully placed upon a vintage recipe of Cuban-seed long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican. Smooth and creamy nuances smack the palate from start to finish, leaving behind a toasty array of leather and sweet tobacco with each puff. The finish is long but refined.E.P. Carrillo New Wave received a solid 91-point rating, in addition to a '90,' noting: "Richly hued with a golden-brown wrapper. This small cigar has an easy draw that imparts some leather flavor, toastiness and a slight sweetness. Balanced."
