Número Uno was originally blended for World Leaders. Handed by Nicaraguan ambassadors on official missions around the world. In 2018, the Joya company gifted some to media and special audiences resulting in their highest rating in 50 years. What was once used only as a non-commercially available cigar only gifted by Nicaraguan officials to visiting dignitaries and other important heads of state, this blend has now taken flight and been released among the masses to a very open and welcoming crowd. Designed to be enjoyed with sufficient attention, offers up to two hours of enjoyment of its medium-bodied profile. An Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper surrounds an all-Nicaraguan binder and long-filler combination that imparts soft notes of vanilla, almonds, and cinnamon across the palate. Along with earning the #6 rank on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2020, Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno was also awarded a 95-rating noting, "A blond, thin cigar topped with a pigtail cap.
