Description
This medium strenght +93 rated gem of a cigar was developed by EP Carillo and AJ Fernandez, two titans of the industry. The new cigar line is a subtler expression of the original Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua series. Where the original is full-bodied, this one is intended to be more medium in strength. The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Edición Diamante consists solely of Nicaraguan tobaccos, featuring a lower-priming wrapper from a hybrid Cuban-seed plant developed by Fernandez and grown in Jalapa. The binder is a Cuban-seed Criollo from the volcanic island soils of Ometepe and the filler tobaccos—three different varietals—are all from Estelí. Deep notes of coffee, earth, and spice add dimension to this medium-strength cigar’s rich complexity.
