Description
Ernesto Padilla's father was Cuban poet Heberto Padilla who was famously imprisoned for criticizing Fidel Castro. His friendship with and reverence for Ernest Hemingway led Heberto to name his son Ernesto in honor of Hemingway. La Pilar was the name of Hemingway's fishing boat which was central to many of his famous hard-drinking, cigar smoking, and fishing exploits. The Padilla La Pilar Robusto offers a flavor journey from spicy Nicaraguan tobacco to sweet notes of cocoa, caramel, nutmeg, and floral hints, anchored by earthy tobacco, delivering a balanced, medium-bodied experience with pepper, cedar, and leather, making it great for both new and experienced smokers
