Its dual wrapper consists of a Mexican San Andres leaf topped off by a Kentucky tapa negra leaf, which has been barrel-aged for twelve months. The wrappers are expertly draped over a Nicaraguan binder, and a filler made of Kentucky and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Handmade by Drew Estate in Nicaragua, the Pappy Van Winkel is a perfect accompaniment to bourbon or rye whiskey.
